terracing is an operator that is applied to potential field data to produce regions of constant field amplitude that are separated by sharp boundaries. magnetic data are usually transformed into pseudo-gravity data (baranov, 1957) prior to the application of terracing. the objective of terracing is ‘to recast potential field maps into a geologic map like format’ (cordell and mccafferty 1989). t...

In order to investigate the effect of a medium with dissipation and dispersion and also the curvature of the physical space on the properties of the incident quantum states, we use the quantization of electromagnetic field based on phenomenological approach to obtain input-output relations between radiations on both sides of dielectric slab. By using these relations the fidelity, the Wigner fun...

in this paper, the time-like hyperruled surfaces in the minkowski 4-space and their algebraicinvariants are worked. also some characteristic results are found about these algebraic invariants.

A brute-force testing technique was applied on a robotic controlled-curvature flapping fin propulsor to investigate output thrust and power consumption trends with respect to flapping frequency, amplitude, and gait. It has been discovered that maximum thrust and maximum propulsive efficiency can coexist, that flapping frequency and amplitude are sometimes interdependent parameters, and that act...

‎let $m^n$ be an $n(ngeq 3)$-dimensional complete connected and‎ ‎oriented spacelike hypersurface in a de sitter space or an anti-de‎ ‎sitter space‎, ‎$s$ and $k$ be the squared norm of the second‎ ‎fundamental form and gauss-kronecker curvature of $m^n$‎. ‎if $s$ or‎ ‎$k$ is constant‎, ‎nonzero and $m^n$ has two distinct principal‎ ‎curvatures one of which is simple‎, ‎we obtain some‎ ‎charact...

The non-asymmetric rolling process of copper and brass wire has been simulated with the Abaqus software. Presented finite element model in this simulation of rolling predicted output curvature and contact surface width in the non-asymmetric mode (in equality of diameter of rollers, the rotational speed of the rollers and the rollers’ surface finish). The material used in this research has strai...

Graphics and visualization pipelines often make use of highly parallelized algorithms which transform an input mesh into an output mesh. One example is Marching Cubes, which transforms a voxel grid into a triangle mesh approximation of an isosurface. These techniques often discard the topological connectivity of the output mesh, and instead produce a ‘soup’ of disconnected geometric elements. C...

This paper deals with the experimental results of a xenon flash-lamp pumped passively Q-switched Nd:YAG laser using Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber. The need of a laser cavity to be integrated into a time-of-flight laser range finder is of great interest as an experimental investigation of several laser resonators. Two types of laser resonator, with different lengths, have been studied: the flat-fl...

A new CMOS bandgap voltage reference (BGR) is proposed and simulated using Silterra 0.13 μm CMOS technology. The proposed BGR utilizes 3 curvature-corrected current generators that compensate for the output voltage variation in an extended temperature range. The proposed circuit generates an output voltage of 1.181 V with a variation of 380 μV from !50 °C to 150 °C.

This study investigated the possible roles of strongly binding myosin crossbridges in determining loaded shortening and power output in cardiac myocytes. Single skinned cardiac myocytes were attached between a force transducer and position motor, and shortening velocities were measured over a range of loads during varying levels of Ca(2+) activation. Lowering the [Ca(2+)] slowed shortening velo...
